Voting for the $250 prize can begin.

Remember that for the full $250 to be awarded, at least 250 votes must be cast for all candidates in the contest combined. That means that, on average, each candidate in the contest should get at least 23 votes (on average) to be in contention.

Those participating may post topics telling other voters why they should vote for and contribute to their favored candidate.

I just wanted to encourage undecided voters to vote for Will Avery (House District 19). In an area that has lacked good representation, Will is a person who will represent all of Paulding County's interests under the Gold Dome, from education to small businesses. I hope that you will vote for Will!

Darwin Carter is a true leader not with a vision for Georgia Agriculture but with an actual plan! He wants to expand agriculture in Georgia and put people back to work by creating more jobs. Agriculture has a wide variety of jobs available. Darwin worked for Ronald Reagan for his 8 years in office, with the USDA. He is well qualified to lead our State Agriculture Department!

I want to encourage everyone to cast their vote for Will Avery, House District 19. I know Will personally and professionally and he has a heart for looking out for working class Americans and promoting quality education in Georgia. While there are many issues to be considered, education, from grade school to college, is certainly of significant importance because it intersects with and affects the state of Georgia and its citizens in so many ways, economically and socially, and at all levels of society. This is especially true for our state as white and "green" collar jobs take on a greater share of the workforce and require a more educated and better trained workforce. Education is an issue which will affect us in all areas of our society, and Will Avery will promote quality, affordable education for the citizens of the state of Georgia.

I hope you thoughtfully consider Will Avery as you make your decision on who to cast you vote for!

If you want to show the folks in the Gold Dome that business as usual is not acceptable to Georgians then help support Will Avery in his campaign for House District 19 and put someone who will actually represent the people and interests of his district and the interests of Georgia families by fighting for quality education in Georgia and the promotion of small business and job creation. Georgia has the largest metro-area in the south-east, why should all the jobs and economic growth that go along with businesses investing in a state go to North Carolina or anywhere else? We need to show the world that the Georgia legislature can do work and make the RIGHT decisions, not just the politically expedient ones.

Will Avery is the undisputed winner although I have to give my kudoos to Darwin Carter, Republican candidate for Commissioner of Agriculture who gave him a real run for the money, literally.

I can only apologize that the contest did not gain greater interest but both leading candidates showed they and their organizations have some stroke with the voters and the organization to get them to cast a vote.

As per our rules, we are obligated to provide a contribution of $136.00 and we will be contacting the Will Avery campaign to make the donation official.

Congratulations to the winners and I'm just sad that more folks didn't want to compete.
