Will Avery is the undisputed winner although I have to give my kudoos to Darwin Carter, Republican candidate for Commissioner of Agriculture who gave him a real run for the money, literally.

While I did hope the contest would have gained greater interest and participation, the reality is that the leading candidates showed they and their organizations have the organizational ability to get out the vote. That counts in politics

As per our rules, we are obligated to provide a contribution of $136.00 and we will be contacting the Will Avery campaign to make the donation official. We'll be donating $150.00 to the young man running for Georgia's 19th.

Congratulations to the winners and I'm just sad that more folks didn't want to compete.
